## NAME

frompolar -- Convert from amplitude and phase to real and imaginary parts.

## USAGE

`frompolar ampl phase output`

## DESCRIPTION

This task takes a pair of images,
the amplitude and phase of a Fourier transform,
and converts to real and imaginary parts.
As with other tasks in the `fourier` package,
the names of the real and imaginary parts are built by appending
"r" and "i" respectively to the name specified by the parameter `output`.
For each pixel, the real part is the amplitude multiplied by the cosine
of the phase, and the imaginary part is the amplitude multiplied by
the sine of the phase.
The phase is expected to be in radians.

## PARAMETERS

- ampl = "" [file name]
- Name of the input amplitude image.

- phase = "" [file name]
- Name of the input phase image.

- output = "" [file name]
- Root name of the output image.
The letters "r" and "i" will be appended to the name to form the names of the images for real and imaginary parts respectively.

## EXAMPLES

1. Convert amplitude `a.hhh` and phase `ph.hhh` to real part
`x00w6601rr.d0h` and imaginary part `x00w6601ri.d0h`.
