NAME

heio -- Compute heliocentric Julian date

USAGE

helio args

PARAMETERS

images
The list of input images to process.
latitude = INDEF
Latitude of the observatory, in degrees.
longitude = INDEF
Longitude of the observatory, in degrees.

DESCRIPTION

For each image in the input list, this task computes the heliocentric Julian date and the heliocentric radio velocity correction, and it adds them to the image header along with the Julian date. It also adds the sidereal time, hour angle, zenith distance and airmass to the image headers if they are not already there or if they have inconsistent values.
The following keyword names are used to store information in the image header:

	AIRMASS		Air mass
	HA 		Hour angle
	HJD		Heliocentric Julian date
	HCORR		Heliocentric radio velocity correction
	JD		Julian date
	ST		Sidereal time
	ZD		Zenith distance

EXAMPLES

Compute the heliocentric Julian date and the heliocentric radio velocity correction for a list of images taken at CTIO:

ct> helio image1,image2,image3 latitude=-30.165278 longitude=70.815
