lambda -- Print pixel values and wavelengths
lambda input
This task prints the pixel value, corresponding wavelength, and pixel number for all the pixels of the spectra specified in the input list. The ouput is a two or three column table with the wavelength in the first column, the pixel value in the second column, and optionally the pixel number in the third one. The last column is printed only if number=yes . The image name is printed at the begining of each output table. The output is written to the standard output and may be stored into a file by redirecting the output of the task. If an image cannot be opened, or if the wavelength keywords are not found in the header, it's skipped with a warning message. The wavelength parameters in the input image headers can be either in meters or Angtroms. The appropiate conversion factor will be used, according with the order of magnitude of the parameters, in order to always get Angstroms in the output table.
Get the pixel values and corresponding wavelength for the image test.imh
and store it into a file called "wave". Finally, look at the first and last
parts of the output file.
This image has a starting wavelength of 3000 Angstroms, and a wavelength
increment of 5.320002 Angstroms.
