makeasn -- Group images in "associations"
makeasn *cal.fits
The program groups NICMOS images by position. The output are calnicb type "associations" tables. These tables contain the names of the images in each group, and the relative offset of the images in pixels. These files can be used to co-add iamges either with calnicb or with asncombine. The matches are done based on the relative shifts and rotations computed from the wcs. In addtion, the observing time as well as the relative orientation of the imgages can be used as a criterion for an images to be included in a group.
