mkphottb -- Create a synthetic photometry lookup table for WF/PC
mkphottb infile outtable
This task creates an STSDAS table which contains the synthetic photometry quantities to be used in the WF/PC pipeline calibration software, the calwfp task.
- infile = "" [string]
- Name of the input text file. This file contains the photometry modes and
must have the following syntax:
camera,detector,data mode,unit,filter name 1, filter name 2,flatfield
Each mode should take one line and if either of the filter slots is not used, the word OPEN should be in its place. There is no limit on the number of lines in the input file.
- outtable = "" [string]
- Name of the output table.
The output table has the following columns:
PHOTMODE Photometric mode. (ch*30) PHOTFLAM Inverse sensitivity. (real) PHOTZPT Photometry zero point in magnitude. (real) PHOTPLAM Pivot wavelength in Angstrom. (real) PHOTBW RMS bandwidth of the filter used in Angstrom. (real) CAMERA Camera in use. (ch*2) DETECTOR Detector ID. (int) FILTNAM1 Name of the first filter. (ch*6) FILTNAM2 Name of the second filter. (ch*6) FLATFIELD Flat field calibration flag. (ch*3)
- graphtab = "crcomp$hstgraph_*.tab" [string]
- Names of the synthetic photometry graph tables.
- comptab = "crcomp$hstcomp_*.tab" [string]
- Names of the synthetic photometry component tables.
1. Create a synthetic photometry lookup table phot.tab, using an input text file test.lis.
w_> mkphottb test.lis phot.tab where test.lis is a text file containing the following lines: wf,1,a,dn,f439w,open,cal wf,2,a,dn,f439w,open wf,3,a,dn,f439w,open wf,4,a,dn,f439w,open pc,5,a,dn,f702w,open pc,6,a,dn,f702w,open pc,7,a,dn,f702w,open pc,8,a,dn,f702w,open
If the input string contains items not been parsed by the synthetic photometry routines, it will issue a harmless message, e. g.
