NAME

pha_rms -- Plot a histogram of root mean square error for all Gaussian centers found by the phaz task.

USAGE

pha_rms

DESCRIPTION

pha_rms uses the output of the phaz task to plot a histogram of the errors in the Gaussian centers found for the differential pulse height distributions. The histogram bins are the possible error values, each bin containing the number of diodes which share the same calculated error.

PARAMETERS

(table = "") [file name]
Table containing the threshold statistics produced by the phaz task. If this parameter is left blank, the table name will be taken from the table parameter in the phaz task.
(device = "stdgraph") [string]
Output device on which graphs will be printed.
(left = 0.) [real]
The left boundary on the graphics device, specified from 0. to 1., where the graphs will appear.
(right = 1.) [real]
The right boundary on the graphics device, specified from 0. to 1., where the graphs will appear.
(bottom = 0.) [real]
The bottom boundary on the graphics device, specified from 0. to 1., where the graphs will appear.
(top = 1.) [real]
The top boundary on the graphics device, specified from 0. to 1., where the graphs will appear.
(verbose = yes) [real]
Display number of diodes drawn as task progresses?

EXAMPLES

1. Run the phaz task and then produce a histogram of all the errors of the calculated gaussian centers on the phaz results.

cl> phaz z06i0501t.doh[*] z06i0501t.x0h[*]
cl> pha_rms

2. Produce the error histogram on a different set of data, contained in the files intphd_old and phaz_old. Send the plots to the standard plot device.

cl> pha_rms table=phaz_old  device=stdplot
