NAME

showspiral --Construct and display an GHRS spiral-search map.

USAGE

showspiral input output display_only

DESCRIPTION

The showspiral task is a cl script that runs the task spiralmap, which constructs and displays an GHRS spiral search map. This task accepts the input and output image names for the spiralmap task. If you need to change any other parameters affecting spiralmap, you should use epar on the spiralmap pset (i.e., type "epar spiralmap"). The displayed map is 2/3 the size of the display frame. If you need to adjust the display parameters, use epar on display. The task tvmark is used to add an X-Y coordinate axis to the frame.

PARAMETERS

input [file name]

The image name of the GHRS observation. This will typically be a multigroup file containing either 9 or 25 individual maps.

output [file name]

The image name of the map built up from the individual maps.

disp_only [boolean]

Display a previously-constructed map? The default value of "no" will both construct and display the map.

EXAMPLES

1. Construct a spiral search map from observation z00xh903r and display it.

  hr> showspiral z00xh903r.d0h map.hhh disp_only-

2. Display the previously constructed spiral search map, map.hhh.

  hr> showspiral "" map.hhh disp_only+
