NAME

vac2air -- Convert wavelength scales from vacuum to air above 2000 angstroms.

USAGE

vacwair input output

DESCRIPTION

vac2air converts wavelength scales from vacuum to air above 2000 angstroms. vac2air processes all groups of a multigroup GEIS file. Please note that vac2air works ONLY for GEIS image files, such as the C0H files produced for GHRS and FOS data.

PARAMETERS

input [image file name]

Input wavelength image.

output [image file name]

Output wavelength image.

EXAMPLES

1. Convert all groups of the wavelength image y00vk10gr.c0h and create a corrected image, v2a10g.c0h.

fo> vac2air y00vk10gr.c0h v2a10g.c0h.

BUGS

Works only for GEIS image files.
