The following codes provide an index to important notes from the literature about observations of particular planetary nebulae. These notes often are keyed to a particular region within an extended nebula, but not necessarily.

Listed are the object name in columns 1-7, the author code in columns 9-12, the Region code in columns 14-15, and the author's explanation in columns 17-80.
