STSDAS is the software for reducing and analyzing data from the Hubble Space Telescope. The STSDAS software development group also produces and supports other software products such as the TABLES package for handling tabular-format data and IGI for the production of publication quality graphics in the IRAF environment.


 
                        TABLES v2.2 RELEASE SUMMARY
 


The primary changes incorporated in this release are:

1) A new THEDIT task to edit table headers.
2) TREBIN can now rebin array elements, and use unequal rebinning intervals.
3) Speed improvements to TSORT
4) Changes to the GFLIB and GILIB libraries to better support use of FITS
   files with image extensions in place of GEIS files for tasks that
   explicitly depend on GEIS files. The next release will include a WFPC2
   package capapble of using FITS files with image extensions as a data format.
5) CFITSIO updated to v2.034
