STSDAS/TABLES 2.1.1 -- Summary of Release Notes
There is a new patch release for TABLES/STSDAS (v2.1.1) which fixes
problems that appeared with the release of TABLES/STSDAS v2.1. The
most serious problem was that acesses of double precision floating
point columns in FITS binary tables were corrupted on PCIRAF and Tru64.
A configuration file problem for Red Hat Linux resulted in some
installations having difficulty building executables for STSDAS.
Most of the other changes involved problems with help files, control-C
handling for C tasks, and cleaning out files that did not belong
in the source distribution (but were otherwise harmless). This release
does not add any new tasks or functionality. See the
TABLES patch release notes
for more details.
Binaries are now available for Solaris and Redhat 6.0 (or later) -- see
Downloading software.
We will be producing binaries for Tru64, HPUX, and Slackware
shortly. Check the STSDAS web page to see when they become available.
Manuals are provided for online viewing, or can be downloaded for
printing. Quick reference cards are also available. The
online
help system can be browsed from within the web environment. Back
issues of STSDAS Newsletters are available.
