MultiDrizzle
MultiDrizzle automates and simplifies
the detection of cosmic-rays and the combination of dithered
observations using the Python
scripting language and PyRAF,
the Python-based interface
to IRAF. MultiDrizzle was developed by the Science Software Branch at
the
Space Telescope Science Institute.
A new Multidrizzle Handbook has been written to describe
the algorithms used by Multidrizzle, to provide instructions on how to
run MultiDrizzle, to provide an extensive set of examples, and to
describe the parameters used by MultiDrizzle. The Handbook can be
accessed either as a
static PDF document or as
static HTML pages.
Updates or corrections to the officially
reviewed PDF or HTML documents can be found in the What's New section
of the future Multidrizzle Handbook.
This document receives updates as MultiDrizzle develops. It is, however, is an evolving draft of the manual and new
sections may be updated at any time, and may not always be entirely accurate as they get updated.
Therefore, we recommend using it only if
the information you need has likely been affected by an update
or a member of the STScI staff has
suggested you read the wiki for your particular topic.
You can download MultiDrizzle as part of the
complete stsci_python
package from our download page
